Introduction
Copper readily forms alloys with a wide number of metals when compared to most other metals. For example, when copper is mixed with zinc, brass is obtained; when copper is mixed with nickel and zinc, nickel silver is obtained.
Pure copper or high copper alloys are made from copper ores that are obtained from the mines in the form of sulfides. Pure copper is known to possess excellent electrical and thermal conductivity of any commercial metal. UNS C18140 is a pure copper alloy. It is a wrought alloy.
